HOW TO CLASSIFY IT?
There are 100 ways to classify franchises. We have chosen the most commonly used. Industrial and service franchise: Selling products manufactured or selected by the Franchisor. Franchise requirements. Requirements needed for the franchisee, to apply the franchisor’s commercial strategy. The real decision-maker is the customer. The concept has been solely designed, by the franchisor to attract the customer and therefore be respected. This highly evident principle brings other requirements, and compliance with standards. An obligation to follow the development of the concept and the knowhow, and an obligation to obtain supplies of referenced products from referenced suppliers, compliance with financial obligations (entry fee, fees).
Compliance with the obligations stipulated in the contract the franchisee is copying a concept, that does not belong to him. He must therefore respect it. However, it is important that he can give his own opinion and good networks take the greatest notice of comments, criticisms, and ideas from their franchisees. Very frequently, they organise committees or find some other means of having the franchisees be involved in the network’s development.
